Parkinson's Disease Pharmacotherapy Traineeship

General Program Information

The traineeship is open to pharmacists from all practice settings.
There will be one traineeship session in 2017: May 8 - 12. Four pharmacists will be selected.

The traineeship is four days in length, Monday through Thursday, with an optional session on Friday. There is a mandatory orientation meeting on Sunday evening to tour the medical campus, get to know the other trainees, review the schedule with faculty, and answer questions. The traineeship will be conducted at the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois, which is recognized by the National Parkinson Foundation as a Center for Excellence, and by the National Institutes of Health as a Morris K. Udall Center for Parkinson's research, only on of 12 centers nationwide.

Please read this information and the Policies and Guidelines carefully so you have a clear understanding of the traineeship goals, structure, and content, and the application procedure.

Trainees are responsible for all expenses related to travel, accommodations, meals, and incidentals. Trainees must make their own travel arrangements to the traineeship site. The ASCP Foundation will coordinate hotel accommodations, but trainees are responsible for payment. Trainees should plan to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. Sunday preceding the traineeship for an evening orientation session. The Traineeship ends at 6:00pm on Thursday, with an optional session on Friday.
